ROOT COVERAGE WITH MINIMAL INVASIVE TUNNEL TECHNIQUE USING A NOVEL PORCINE DERIVED RECONSTRUCTIVE TISSUE MATRIX (NovoMatrixTM)
SPEAKER:
Priv. Doz. Gerhard Iglhaut, Memmingen
Connective tissue grafts improved root coverage predictability, enhanced esthetics, and reduced palatal harvest site discomfort. Outcome parameters following new techniques using allografts have compared favorably with those achieved with connective tissue grafts. These procedures enhanced outcomes of root coverage, increased tissue thickness and gain of keratinized tissue. Currently, attention has shifted toward patient-based parameters including cost, pain, inconvenience, esthetics, and potential for retreatment. This seminar will present minimally invasive tunnel techniques by using an innovative porcine acellular dermal matrix (PADM / NovoMatrixTM) in combination with appropriate root coverage grafting method. Case examples with both an allograft and a novel xenograft will be shown. Participants will benefit from more than 35 years experience of the speaker in the field of perio-plastic surgery.
